Inna Makhniboroda is a founding partner of E&M Business Lawyers, established in Mexico City in 2015 to support international businesses in their incorporation and operations in Mexico. With more than 20 years of expertise in international transactions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), arbitration, compliance, negotiations, and asset management, Inna has worked with companies and family offices across diverse regions. She is a qualified Russian lawyer, holds a Ph.D. in international law, and earned an LL.M. with specialization in corporate governance from the University of Cambridge. 

E&M Business Lawyers, developed collaboratively by Inna and her fellow partners, offers a robust practice tailored to the needs of foreign investors and national companies. The firm provides comprehensive legal services, including all forms of dispute resolution, such as litigation and arbitration, as well as M&A, corporate planning and restructuring, tax advisory, compliance (including liaison with authorities), contracts, negotiations, and regulatory support for obtaining permits and licenses. These services cater to industries such as technology, fintech, venture capital, insurance, telecommunications, healthcare, banking, oil and gas, renewable energy, and international outsourcing. 

Inna is also a strong advocate for corporate social responsibility through the firm’s signature initiative, the program Sigue Derecho. This program, which supports women from disadvantaged backgrounds pursuing careers in the legal profession, was recognized in 2022 by CEMEFI (Mexican Center for Philanthropy) as the first of its kind in Mexico’s legal sector. As the program’s Director, Inna leads efforts to empower female talent within the firm and the broader community. 

In addition to her legal practice, Inna has extensive academic experience, having worked as a professor teaching courses on international law and transactions at universities in Russia, Mexico, and the United States. She is fluent in Russian, English, and Spanish.
