Sergey Gerasin

Sergey Gerasin is a lawyer and the managing partner of the Montreal-based law firm SDN Legal Inc., which provides a wide range of legal services in Quebec, Canada.

Sergey obtained his legal education in Russia, Germany, and Canada, earning a Bachelor of Laws from Voronezh State University (1995) and the Université de Montréal (2013), a Master of Laws from University of Bremen in Germany (2004), and a Ph.D. in law from the Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Further, he successfully completed the course Transnational Law and Practice at the University of Washington (Seattle, USA), the University of San Diego courses International Business Transactions and International Arbitration and Litigation, and the training program for the Russian patent agent exam preparatory courses at the Russian State Institute of Intellectual Property (Moscow, Russia). Sergey Gerasin has been a member of the Quebec Bar (Barreau du Québec) since 2014 and regularly represents clients before the Court of Quebec, the Superior Court of Quebec, and the Court of Appeal of Quebec, as well as before administrative tribunals. He also advises Canadian and foreign clients on business formation in Canada, including the selection of legal structures and ongoing legal support.
