He graduated from Yerevan State University acquiring Graduate Diploma in Jurisprudence and Notre Dame University Law School, USA acquiring LLM in International Law (with excellence). He also studied Political Science and International Relations at American University of Armenia receiving master’s degree. 

Mr. Sargsyan was instrumental on assisting and advising the entrance of the major international players into the Armenian market, acted as leading local lawyer of the landmark M&A transactions ever conducted in Armenia.
